Pinecrest Animal Hospital is seeking a skilled full time-licensed veterinary technician/experienced veterinary technician to join our growing small animal practice. We are a full-service veterinary hospital with a fast pace providing a variety of services from routine vaccines and health exams to advanced surgical and dental procedures with state of the art digital radiology and full in house laboratory in a modern, clean, and organized facility.

Job Type: Full-time

Benefits: 401(k) / 401(k) matching, continuing education credits, discounted pet care, flexible schedule, health insurance, and paid time off.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, weekends as needed (typically one Saturday/month, no Sundays)

Salary range: $18.00 - $22.00 hourly (based on experience)

Responsibilities and Duties (including but not limited to):

• Provide exceptional patient care and communicate effectively and accurately with clients
• Maintain a happy, collaborative, and positive attitude
• Provide treatments to patients as instructed by Veterinarian such as; x-rays, collect samples, administer SQ/IV/IM injections and run in-house laboratory tests
• Perform triage, obtain medical history, and accurately update medical records
• Assist Veterinarians during appointments and surgical procedures
• Anesthesia monitoring
• Maintain a clean hospital environment
• Along with various other tasks as directed
• The technician may occasionally be responsible for receptionist duties when the receptionist is unavailable. These duties include answering phones, scheduling appointments, and collecting payments.

About the Role:

As a Veterinary Technician at Bay Pines Veterinary Clinic, you'll play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our animal patients. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting the Veterinarian during routine patient appointments and surgical procedures with precision and compassion.
• Collecting and preserving laboratory samples, ensuring accurate documentation, and handling.
• Performing ultrasound examinations under the guidance of the attending Veterinarian, contributing to the diagnosis and treatment of our patients.
• Sharing your knowledge and expertise by mentoring and training junior staff members in basic veterinary functions.
• Ensuring cleanliness, sterilization, and proper storage of surgical equipment to maintain the highest standards of hygiene and safety.
• Collaborating with our Veterinarians to develop engaging training courses and educational materials for our staff members.

Job Details:

• Job Type: Full-time
• Pay: Competitive salary range of $20.00 - $25.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
• Expected Hours: 35 – 40 per week (Ideally looking to fill four 10-hour shifts and one Saturday shift every 6 weeks)

Northland Veterinary Clinic is seeking a full-time veterinary technician in the northwestern Upper Peninsula. If you love being outdoors, this is the place to be! We are located in a beautiful area offering 4 seasons of outdoor recreation. Our team specializes in a positive, educational, and productive work environment while providing excellent care for our patients. We’re looking for a Credentialed Veterinary Technician (or a VT currently in the process of completing accreditation) to add their passion, skills, and knowledge to our team. Ideal candidates must have good communication, technical, and interpersonal skills. 

Veterinary Technician duties include but are not limited to:

• General practice patient care.
• Surgical and hospitalization patient care
• Diagnostic skills such as positioning for radiographs, setting up and reading cytology, obtaining lab samples via blood draws, and cystocentesis.
• Treatments such as IV, IM, SQ injections and IV catheter placement.
• Surgical skills such as anesthesia monitoring, dental scaling and polishing.
• Responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of surgical equipment/supplies
• Above and beyond patient care and client communication.

Veterinary Technicians are expected to work rotating Saturdays with a casual on-call schedule. Salary range $18-$24/hr (depending on experience).
